Bengaluru: The Department of School Education, Government of Karnataka, has officially released the Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) 2025 Notification on October 18, 2025 through the Central Admission Cell (CAC). The much-awaited test for aspiring teachers across Karnataka will be conducted on December 7, 2025 (Sunday) in offline mode.
Online applications open from October 23, 2025, and eligible candidates can apply on the official website before November 9, 2025.

Objective of KARTET-2025
The Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) is conducted to assess the teaching eligibility of candidates aspiring to become teachers for Classes 1 to 8 in government and aided schools across the state.
- Paper-I: For teaching Classes 1–5 (Primary Level)
- Paper-II: For teaching Classes 6–8 (Upper Primary Level)
Qualifying in KARTET is the minimum eligibility requirement for appointment as a teacher in Karnataka.

Candidates can pay the fee online through Debit/Credit Card, Internet Banking, or via challan at State Bank of India branches only.
KARTET-2025 Eligibility Criteria
🔹 Paper-I (Classes 1–5)
- Passed PUC / 10+2 or equivalent with minimum 50% marks, and
- Completed or pursuing 2-year D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education), OR
- Completed or pursuing B.El.Ed (Bachelor of Elementary Education), OR
- Graduates with 50% marks and B.Ed. qualification may also apply.
🔹 Paper-II (Classes 6–8)
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks, and
- Completed or pursuing 2-year D.El.Ed, OR
- Completed or pursuing B.Ed (Bachelor of Education), OR
- 4-year B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed degree holders are also eligible.
Relaxation: Candidates belonging to SC/ST/Category-I/PwD will get 5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks.

KARTET 2025 Result & Validity
Candidates securing 60% or above in the examination will be declared qualified.
Qualified candidates will be issued a KARTET Eligibility Certificate, which is now valid for a lifetime and can be used for teacher recruitment in government and aided schools across Karnataka.
How to Apply for KARTET 2025
- Visit the official website – https://schooleducation.karnataka.gov.in
- Read the detailed notification carefully.
- Register as a new user and create your login ID and password.
- Fill out the online application form with accurate details.
- Upload a passport-size photo (max 50KB) and signature (max 40KB).
- Pay the application fee online or via SBI challan.
- Recheck all details before submission — no edits allowed after submission.
- Download and print the confirmation page for future reference.
Note: Admit cards will not be reissued in case of incorrect details, so ensure all information is accurate during submission.
