1. Focus on Next-Generation Tata Nexon :
- Major Overhaul: Tata Motors is planning a full “generation change” for the Nexon, with the second-gen model expected to launch in the second half of 2026. This indicates a significant evolution beyond mere facelifts.
- New Platform & Design: The next-gen Nexon will use a heavily modified version of its existing X1 platform. Its design is likely to draw inspiration from Tata’s Curvv concept and new-breed cars, promising a fresh and modern aesthetic.
- Advanced Features: Expect the 2026 Nexon to come packed with advanced features like an auto-dimming IRVM, premium audio system, updated iRA connected car tech, rear disc brakes, and potentially a full ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) suite to compete fiercely in the segment.
- Engine Continuity: While many things will change, the 2026 Tata Nexon is most likely to retain its existing 1.2L turbo petrol (120PS/170Nm) and 1.5L turbo diesel (115PS/260Nm) engine setups.

- The model is now offered in four broad trim levels: Smart, Pure, Creative, and Fearless, each with further sub-variants (‘+’ and ‘S’). There are reportedly around 39-54 variants available, offering a wide range of choices.
3. Sales Performance:
- The Tata Nexon consistently ranks among the top-selling sub-compact SUVs in India. Recent reports indicate it was the second best-selling Tata car in May 2025 and a top-selling sub-compact SUV after the Maruti Brezza in April 2025.
